Opening close to Fukuoka’s waterfront district of Momochi, MARK IS fukuoka-momochi will be the largest commercial building in the west area of Tenjin.
Visitors to Fukuoka will have a shiny new sight in the city’s waterfront area to check out when a sprawling new shopping mall opens its doors on Wednesday (November 21).
Opening close to Fukuoka’s waterfront district of Momochi, MARK IS fukuoka-momochi will be the largest commercial building in the west area of Tenjin.
It will house 163 retail stores across approximately 48,000sqm, with a quarter comprising of stores who are opening at their first location in the Fukuoka or Kyushu island.
Visitors can also expect technology features at the mall, including ScreenX, the world’s first multi-projection immersive cinema technology offering a 270-degree viewing experience, and a facility equipped with the latest VR technology.
The new mall is situated in three subway stops from Tenjin Station and can be reached within a 30-minute bus ride from Hakata Station, the largest railway station in Kyushu.
