BANGKOK – Thailand’s Convention and Exhibition Bureau(TCEB) is to fly united with Thai Airways International and THAI Smile Airways to attract more corporate business to the country.

Corporate clients will be offered privileges and special price air tickets in a bid to attract 10,000 MICE visitors to Thailand.

The campaign aims to expand the corporate market segment in Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries, which is the primary market for Thailand’s  meeting & incentive industry.

In fiscal year 2019 (October 2018-September 2019), 1,162,170 APAC MICE tourists visited Thailand, representing  91.22% of the total MICE market consisting of 1,273,981 tourists.

In 2020, TCEB will launch the APAC MaxiMICE campaign in 15 countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and India in collaboration with the national carrier THAI and its subsidiary THAI Smile.

The APAC MaxiMICE campaign consists of three levels of privilege for the meeting and incentive corporate market: Silver, Gold and Platinum, for groups of 40 to 500 tourists who must stay in Thailand for at least two nights in order to receive specially priced air tickets and other privileges.

Other privileges include the VIP fast track or MICE lane at Suvarnabhumi Airport and cultural performances.
