When it comes to planning a multigenerational holiday, it’s always challenging to find a destination that will satisfy everyone’s interests and palates. Where can they go that will have something for everyone, from grandparents to toddlers?

Sentosa’s tantalising array of culinary experiences – whether it’s beachside drinks with sweeping views of the South China Sea, a fusion meal overlooking a scenic marina, or a romantic dinner above the skyline – are what make this island a perfect paradise for every type of traveller.

For the grandparents: Upscale experiential dining for milestone celebrations

As Sentosa marks its Golden Jubilee in 2022, a pair of grandparents is too, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a day of gourmet meals. Their celebrations begin at Cassia, a contemporary Chinese restaurant in the colonial-era Capella Singapore. The restaurant’s focus on inventive Cantonese dishes, fine service, and a sleek design that draws inspiration from China’s historic spice routes makes this venue befitting for milestone celebrations.

An out-of-the-world dining experience awaits them at the Ocean Restaurant in Resorts World Sentosa, where the couple is surrounded by the wonders of the sea, from its culinary offerings to its ambience. This underwater restaurant serves up fresh seafood for lunch and dinner sourced from eco-friendly fisheries, ensuring that every morsel is both delectable and sustainable. While they’re savouring their dishes, they get to admire the majesty of manta rays, sharks and 40,000 marine animals swimming past the aquarium’s floor-to-ceiling windows.

Mount Faber’s Cable Car Sky Dining, accessible via a short ride from any cable car stations in Sentosa, offers a unique setting for a private romantic dinner to round off anniversary celebrations. Couples can choose from four themed cabin menus — Destination-Themed Cabin, Singapore Flavours Cabin, Sky-High Bento Cabin and Champagne Cabin — before they set off in their own private cable car ride, taking in panoramic views of Sentosa’s glittering lights against the night sky while enjoying their multi-course meal.

For the rest of the day, the ladies explore Quayside Isle’s restaurants that line the picturesque quay in Sentosa Cove, ranging from Mediterranean cuisine at Mykonos on the Bay to Spanish cuisine at Sabio by the Sea.

The men, meanwhile, can be found spending the entire day at Sentosa Golf Club. Some break off from the group to play golf and the others hang out at Panamericana sipping on whiskies, while admiring the restaurant’s sweeping ocean views from its veranda. Not only does the restaurant house a fully stocked bar, but it also boasts a farm-to-fire culinary concept, specialising in grilled, roasted and charred meats.

The millennial parents of the family and their gaggle of young kids head out for a full day of high-octane activities in the cluster of attractions at Imbiah Lookout starting with SkyHelix Sentosa. They enjoy a light breakfast of pastries, fruit bowls and juices as they ascend the 35m tall rotating aerial attraction that offers 360° views of Sentosa and the developing Greater Southern Waterfront.

With a day of non-stop action in the pipeline comprising Sentosa 4D Adventureland, Mega Adventure Park, and the Luge, the parents take a short cable car ride from Imbiah Cable Car Station to the Siloso Point Cable Car station where a short walk brings them to the Southside Interim Market. This open concept food hall by the waterside houses six different dining concepts to satisfy families who like to have a taste of everything — from burgers and pizzas to comfort French food and craft beers. Tanjong Beach Club is lauded as one of the world’s best beach clubs.
