Edutainment attraction KidZania is set to make a return to Singapore
in Q1 2024, according to a recent announcement by theme park developer
Sim Leisure Group.
Sim Leisure Group (SLG), which has entered into a tenancy agreement
with Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC), will refurbish the 7,600 sqm
Family Entertainment Centre located at Sentosa’s Palawan Beach which
housed the original KidZania Singapore and introduce a whole suite of
new attractions and experiences.
The theme park, which first opened in Singapore in 2016, closed down in mid-2020 amid financial difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic.
At KidZania Singapore, which will be children embark on an immersive
learning journey, stepping into the shoes of professionals within a safe
and meticulously designed real-life environment. Kids can anticipate an
array of exciting offerings including YouTube Entrepreneur, Animation
Studio, and Makers Space.
Emphasising sustainability, KidZania Singapore incorporates elements
from the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, nurturing an
awareness of environmental responsibility and social consciousness among
young visitors. Purpose-driven experiences and interactive role-play
empower children to envision future cities and understand their roles as
responsible global citizens.
Renowned Singaporean and worldwide brands will to join SLG as
partners of KidZania Singapore, whose opening is set to enhance Sentosa
island's appeal as a family-friendly destination, and top off the
attractions offered by the Palawan Beach leisure cluster.
SLG currently operates KidZania Kuala Lumpur.
