Martin Schnider has been appointed as the new general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur.

Bringing over 25 years of experience with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Schnider's primary objective will be on enhancing the hotel's reputation. He will focus on maintaining and elevating the hotel's high standards across various areas, including guest services, food and beverage offerings, and overall guest satisfaction.

Prior to his appointment at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, Schnider served as the general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Doha. During his tenure, he successfully led the hotel's operations, resulting in notable recognition. In 2020, under Schnider's leadership, Mandarin Oriental, Doha received the prestigious Five-Star rating in the Forbes Travel Guide Five & Four-Star Awards, becoming the sole hotel in Doha to achieve this accolade.
