The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) has unveiled the launch of the MATTA Fair Online 2020 as a new initiative for its members to sell holiday packages to consumers despite the challenging conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Good discounts are up for grabs through the MATTA Fair Online 2020", said MATTA president Tan Kok Liang. "Exhibitors will be offering their best deals with value-added services at special rates and bargain prices, and consumers can look forward to many holiday and travel packages with a range of niche products and product updates.

Tan shared that Malaysia Airlines is offering up to 20% discount for domestic destinations while open date vouchers for travel periods until June 2021 available from the participating partners of (MAH), Malaysian Association of Amusement Theme Park & Family Attractions (MAATFA), Association of Malaysian Spas (AMSPA), among others.

Travel consumers can make direct payment to exhibitors via IPA88 or BOOST with special arrangements, he added.

The association is working with potential sponsors including Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines, Penang Global Tourism, MAH, MAATFA, AMSPA, BOOST, IPAY88 and other state tourism offices.

Registration for participation in the MATTA Fair Online is now open until August 10, 2020.
