This year’s event will be held in the Swan Valley outside Perth as well as its traditional home, the Margaret River wine and food region in the south-west of Western Australia.

The new Western Australia Gourmet Escape, expanded to 10 days and 50 events from November 8-17, will be headlined by Marco Pierre White – the youngest ever chef to be awarded three Michelin stars - and David Chang, the New York chef who put pork belly bao buns on the world stage.

This year’s event will be held in the Swan Valley outside Perth as well as its traditional home, the Margaret River wine and food region in the south-west of Western Australia.

Chang, from New York's Momofuku restaurant empire, will headline the Westpac Gourmet Beach BBQ in the Margaret River region, teaming up with his Sydney-based Australian counterpart Paul Carmichael.

White – who famously gave back his Michelin stars, saying he wanted to “reinvent” himself and spend more time with his children - will take part in a collaboration dinner at Sittella Winery in the Swan Valley, and appear at the new family-friendly Gourmet Feast in the Valley.

Other returning event favourites include the Gourmet Village at Leeuwin Estate, Cullen Chardonnay Wine Tasting and Lunch, and Sunset Beats and Bites.

Other international chefs taking part include Danny Bowien (USA), Amanda Cohen (USA), Pierre Koffmann (UK) and Ivan Brehm (Singapore).
