The #DiIndonesiaAja Travel Fair 2023 (#DIATF 2023) is set to take place from 19 to 21 May 2023, at the Grand Atrium Mal Kota Kasablanka in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Organised by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkomarves RI), the event aims to promote domestic tourism and encourage more Indonesians to discover the wonders within their own borders.

New horizons for Indonesia tourism

According to Oddo Manuhutu, deputy for tourism and creative economy, the #DIATF 2023, with the theme "BBWI: Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia" (Proud to Travel in Indonesia), aims to support the implementation of the Proud to Travel in Indonesia programme, targeting 1.2-1.4 billion trips, which is twice the number from 2022.

The expected impact on tourism revenue is around IDR 3,281 trillion, significantly contributing to the recovery of the tourism sector and the overall economy.

Forging alliances to showcase Indonesia’s destinations

In a display of national unity, the Confederation of Indonesia Tourism Association (GIPI) and the Indonesian Travel Agents Association (ASTINDO) have joined forces to ensure the success of #DIATF 2023. With a steadfast commitment to showcasing a myriad of enticing tourism destinations throughout Indonesia, including 'super priority' destinations, ASTINDO, bolstered by the support of BUMN Holding Pariwisata and InJourney, assumes the pivotal role of organising this travel fair.

Pauline Suharno, secretary general of GIPI and chairperson of ASTINDO, stated, "We share the commitment for the resounding success of #DIATF 2023 as it marks a pioneering endeavour that will spotlight both our nation's cherished gems and the extraordinary super priority destinations."

Several Indonesian banks, including BCA, BNI, BRI, CIMB Niaga, and Mandiri, are actively supporting #DIATF 2023. Their support comes in the form of enticing incentives, including cashback offers and flexible instalment options, aimed at fostering accessible and affordable travel experiences for all attendees.

An abundance of experiences await

The travel fair will feature a wide range of domestic travel packages offered by travel agents. In addition to the popular ‘super priority’ destinations like Lake Toba, Yogyakarta-Solo-Semarang, Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, and Likupang, travel agents will also showcase packages for Moto GP events, diving trips, batik tours, Jakarta student trips, village tours, walking tours, and more.

"In addition to the super priority destinations, our travel agents offer packages for diverse experiences such as cultural tours, adventure activities, and educational trips. There is something for everyone," said Suharno.
