Females make up just 12.4% of the CEOs of the world’s top 350 B2B
travel companies and a slightly less 12.1% of Chairpersons, according to
a study published by Belvera Partners.
The study analysed the B2B travel space by sector and identified that
females had the biggest presence as CEOs and Chairpersons in
Hospitality Schools, at 29% and 43% respectively.
On the other end of the spectrum are worst-performing sectors Hotel
Distribution & Sales and Aviation, with just 5% of CEOs and 3% of
Chairpersons respectively being female.
The data is taken from a new chapter edition to the Belvera B2B
Sustainability Report 2021: Sustainability reporting in B2B travel’s top
350 companies globally. Originally published in August 2021, the full
report looks at B2B travel organisations’ diligence in sustainability
reporting and transparency in policies, among other related topics.
In terms of sustainability reporting, the report showed that only 17%
have such reports, with the aviation sector being the highest
performing in its reporting.
