The world's first dog cruise will soon sail in Singapore, and canine lovers can now book a unique experience onboard Royal Albatross' Superyacht with their beloved pooches in tow.
"Tall Ship Adventures is proud to be the first company in the world to organise a dedicated dog cruise onboard a luxury tall ship. It’s a fun and entertaining evening for the entire family with some amusing opportunities for their dogs to impress," said CEO, Pete Pela, himself an avid dog lover.
The idea was conceived last year when Tall Ship Adventures filmed a parody video with lead doggies 'Jack' and 'Rose' having a romantic dinner onboard, inspired by the famous lovers from the Titanic movie.
An extension of Royal Albatross' existing popular sunset cruises which sail Friday to Sunday every weekend, now pet owners can bring their dogs along to sail on the four-masted, 22-sail Tall Ship berthed at Resorts World Sentosa.
Sunny Chong Dog Training School, Singapore’s largest dog training centre, has been engaged to help execute the event to ensure a safe experience for both dogs and their humans.
Doggies will also be able to join their fur-parents at the dining table, feasting on a gourmet dinner that's nutritionally balanced and which utilises all-natural ingredients.
According to Dog Cruise Singapore, tickets have been "selling like hot cakes ever since it was released". More details for June sailings taking mixed/medium/larger breeds will follow soon.
Two packages are available for the Small Dog Edition series: either one adult with furkid (S$195+ / US$145+) or two adults with furkid (S$420+). Both are for 2.5 hour sailings, and includes a welcome mocktail, three-course plated dinner, free flow soft drinks, and dog activities onboard with surprise goodies too. Extra dog tickets can be purchased at an additional S$30+ per small dog under 10kg.
Each sailing can take up to a maximum of 60 people and 30 dogs. Bookings are now available for sail dates starting from 28 April to May 2021, departing at 6.30pm every Wednesday.
