Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced the launch of 128 culinary-focused shore excursions in the Mediterranean. Developed in collaboration with local chefs and culinary experts, these excursions aim to provide guests with exceptional culinary experiences in countries such as France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey.

Travellers can look forward to a diverse range of immersive food-centric activities, including wine tastings, cooking classes, and gourmet meals prepared by renowned chefs. Regent's goal is to offer guests unforgettable moments that combine luxury travel with authentic culinary exploration.

The cruise line currently provides approximately 5,000 shoreside experiences worldwide, with almost 3,900 of them complimentary for guests.

Andrea DeMarco, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said that the goal of enhancing the cruise line’s shore excursion offerings is to present “guests with even more opportunities to indulge in their passion for travel and culinary delights, all while cruising the Mediterranean aboard The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet.”

These culinary-focused shore excursions are part of Regent's broader Epicurean Perfection programme, which seeks to immerse guests in the culture of the destinations they visit through their palates.

Among the highlights of Regent's new European culinary-focused shore excursions are the following:

  • Minoan Gastronomy Through History: This hands-on cooking class in Heraklion (Crete), Greece, immerses guests in the ancient Minoan diet, with dishes prepared from locally sourced ingredients and cooked in a Minoan-style oven.
  • Cooking Class with Local Chef: In Pergamum (Dikili), Turkey, guests will learn to cook traditional Turkish cuisine in a restaurant surrounded by Greek and Roman ruins, using locally sourced ingredients and guided by a skilled chef.
  • Farm to Table Amalfi-Style: In Amalfi/Positano, Italy, guests will visit a family-owned organic farm in the hilltop village of Scala to learn about organic farming methods, taste the flavors of fresh produce, and enjoy a farm-to-table lunch with panoramic views.
