Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled plans for extensive enhancements to its cruise ship, Norwegian Joy. This revamp, that will be completed by February 2024, aims to elevate the onboard guest experience, offering new features like a Thermal Suite in the Mandara Spa and Salon, an expanded Vibe Beach Club, additional staterooms, and redesigned Three-Bedroom The Haven Premier Owner's Suites.

The new Thermal Suite, envisioned to be the largest among the Breakaway-Plus class ships, will provide guests with a centralised layout and an array of relaxation options, including saunas, an ice room, and an aromatic steam room. Other innovative features include the Biostation with IV Drip Therapy, four-senses loungers, and Kneipp haptic foot therapy.

As part of the redesign, 24 new balcony staterooms and 40 spa balcony staterooms will be added, offering guests direct access to the Mandara Spa and the Thermal Suite.

The redesign will incorporate 24 new balcony staterooms and 40 spa balcony staterooms, granting direct access to the Mandara Spa and the Thermal Suite. Additionally, in response to high demand, Norwegian Joy's The Haven by Norwegian Premier Owner's Suites with a Large Balcony will be expanded to include three-bedrooms, offering spacious and luxurious living quarters.

To cater to the popularity of the adults-only Vibe Beach Club, NCL has planned an expansion by repurposing the existing Laser Tag arena on Deck 20. The revamped space will feature new private luxe cabanas for an added element of exclusivity.

Norwegian Joy is scheduled to resume sailings on 13 February 2024, commencing with an 11-day Transatlantic voyage from Southampton to Miami. Subsequent sailings will include seven-day round-trip Caribbean voyages from Miami and trips to Bermuda for the summer of 2024.
