Royal Caribbean International’s Spectrum of the Seas will begin international sailings from Shanghai in April 2024, offering 4D and 7N cruises in the Far East.

"Chinese vacationers have been eagerly awaiting to wander and make memories throughout Asia again, and we are delighted to make that possible as the first international cruise line to open for bookings and cruise in China,” announced Dr Zinan Liu, senior vice president and chairman, Asia, Royal Caribbean Group.

“And what better way to mark Royal Caribbean’s homecoming than with the return of Spectrum of the Seas, a ship that was specifically designed for the Asia. Today, we can proudly proclaim, 'We are back in China!'”

The 168,666-ton Quantum Ultra Class Spectrum of the Sea features a lineup of restaurants and entertainment geared towards the Asian market. These include restaurants like Hot Pot, Teppanyaki and Sichuan Red; Star Moment karaoke lounge; and performances like Showgirls in the Royal Theater and Silk Road in Two70.

Other amenities on board include the RipCord by iFly, the all-glass observation capsule North Star, and bumper cars and sports in the SeaPlex indoor activity space.

The ship also boasts the two-level, 260sqm Ultimate Family Suite, which features an in-suite slide and accommodates up to 11 guests.
