Oceania Cruises has unveiled a collection of immersive experiences in
the Mediterranean in 2024, offering journeys through cultural capitals
and hidden gems.
Departing from Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon, Athens, and London, voyages
aboard Marina, Riviera, Sirena, and Vista promise rich history, cuisine,
and traditions.
With 94 itineraries and small-group shore excursions, guests can
search for truffles near Rome, explore Santorini's volcanoes, or indulge
in culinary and architectural tours.
The aim of these itineraries, according to Frank A. Del Rio,
president of Oceania Cruises, is to allow guests to “look at beloved
Mediterranean destinations through a different lens.”
Experiences in Oceania Cruises' 2024 Mediterranean sailings include the following across varied destinations:
- Syracuse, Sicily: Explore ancient ruins, admire Mount Etna, and cruise around picturesque Ortigia Island.
- Valencia, Spain: Visit a local farm to pick fresh ingredients and
make authentic paella. Explore the City of Arts and Sciences and the
historic old town.
- Ephesus, Turkey: Discover the Ephesus Museum and learn about its
trading history. Experience carpet weaving and join locals for a hearty
breakfast in a village.
- Provence, France: Stroll the streets of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence,
indulge in lavender ice cream, and explore Van Gogh's former residence.
Enjoy cheese and wine tasting and search for black truffles.
- Montenegro: Experience the contrasts of Kotor, with majestic
mountains and the cerulean Boka Bay. Walk the Kotor City Walls and visit
the Museum of King Nikola. Explore the enchanting Gospa Islet by boat.
- Santorini, Greece: Savor cocktails and wine tastings amidst the
stunning white walls. Take in the views of the turquoise Ionian Sea.
Climb the crater's rim of Nea Kameni volcano and swim in warm thermal
