The Pan Pacific Hotels Group will double its serviced suites portfolio by adding over 4,000 keys in Bangkok, Hanoi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Nairobi by 2023.

Group CEO Choe Peng Sum said the extended-stay segment has continued to perform strongly, even more so in the last two years.

The group foresees that this market segment would continue to grow as demand increases for corporate long-stay and relocation in regional business hubs.

“Our expansion secures our position in key gateway cities and prime locations around the world, giving us the edge to capture the burgeoning long-stay demand in developing markets and key business hubs,” Choe added.

Owned by Singapore-listed UOL Group, Pan Pacific’s latest wave of expansion is led by the 194 key-Parkroyal Suites Bangkok, which opened on 15 November, followed by the 1 December launch of Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur with 210 suites.

Both the 128-key Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Nairobi, which is the group’s first foray into Africa, and the 122-key Parkroyal Serviced Suites Hanoi are slated for opening in early 2023.

By July 2023, Parkroyal Serviced Suites Jakarta is expected to open offering 180 skyline suites within the Thamrin Nine integrated complex, which is the first of the group’s triple-property launch in the city.

The launch of its other two properties, Pan Pacific Jakarta and Parkroyal Jakarta, are planned for November 2023 and June 2024, respectively.
