Marriott International has signed a hotel management agreement with SKS Group to open the 345-room Sheraton Johor Bahru, marking the second property the global hotel chain have with the Malaysia-based multidisciplinary organisation following the launch of Four Points by Sheraton Desaru in 2021.

Expected to open in 2025, Sheraton Johor Bahru will be part of a mixed-use development comprising a retail podium and office spaces along Jalan Storey. The hotel will have direct access to Tebrau Highway that links to various parts of the state and beyond.

Located nearby are transportation amenities including the Johor Bahru Sentral Bus Terminal and the Bukit Chagar Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Station which is scheduled for completion by end 2026.

Dining options at the hotel include Daily Social, an open kitchen buffet restaurant and &More by Sheraton, a combination of bar, coffee bar and market with an all-day menu offering everything from coffee to cocktails.

An outdoor pool, a children’s pool, and a fitness centre with a state-of-the-art gym, sauna, and steam rooms, are expected to make up the recreational facilities at Sheraton Johor Bahru.

The hotel is also expected to feature a spacious ballroom as well as flexible and fully equipped meeting room spaces.
